Kids have fun learning about climate change.
Caring South Staffs Water employees played host on Monday to a special day out for dozens of local school children.
The fun learning day saw around 80 local youngsters, all with special needs, meet up at the Beaudesert Camp Site at Cannock Wood near Rugeley, for a "Save Our Planet" themed day.
Activity areas were divided into different climate zones: tropical, subtropical, arid, temperate, tundra and polar, with children able to take part in dozens of activities such as "snow" making, learning about endangered species and kite making. A representative from the water industry's national charity, WaterAid, was also on hand to show the youngsters how important water is for health and hygiene.
Each of the schools taking part created a scrapbook jam packed with information as the children progressed around the different zones and every child went home with a native British tree in a pot!
The event was organised by around 30 staff from South Staffs Water; a fun learning day for local special needs children has become an annual one since 2006 as part of the company's commitment to community and charitable projects.
Schools that attended were: Castle Business and Enterprise College, Walsall; Saxon Hill School, Lichfield; Hednesford Valley High School, Hednesford; Fountains High School, Stretton; Paulet High School, Burton-on-Trent; Jane Lane School, Walsall.
