SSW staff reach their peak

Six staff from Walsall based utility company, South Staffs Water, had a mountain to climb when they took on a challenge to raise cash for the international charity WaterAid.

The team, Andrew Smith, Andrew Morris, Emily Anderson, Jill-Marie Powell, Peter Roberts and Paul Godridge, hiked to the top of Gallt yr Ogof in Snowdonia – then pressed on up two more mountains – when they took part in the Corbett Challenge, raising a fantastic £2,110 for the charity.

A Corbett is a mountain of between 2,500 and 3,000 ft. The cash raised by the team came through sponsorship, corporate donations and fund-raising events.
