At South Staffs Water we recognise our position in the community – both environmentally and socially. In the past few years, we have further enhanced our support for local communities and local and international charities by offering financial and non-financial support. We work alongside a range of partners to deliver many different activities and initiatives.
Each year the Group sponsors 10 Youth Teams across the group. Staff are invited to apply for Youth Team Sponsorship which usually goes to 10 teams each receiving £400. The requirement is that a member of staff either coaches, manages or has children under the age of 16 in Youth Teams in any sport.

- County Air Ambulance
The County Air Ambulance is now established as a familiar sight over a large area of the country, readily recognised for its unique ability to respond rapidly to emergencies, especially those in areas that are more difficult to access by road. Whether an accident or a serious illness, there is no doubt that the early provision of medical aid is critical.
This is in keeping with the Company's ideals on corporate and social responsibility, allowing it to provide assistance, which ultimately serves to enhance and protect the health and wellbeing of the many communities it serves. For spinal injuries the smoothness of air travel offers significant advantages over road transport, helping to minimise the risk of discomfort and further injury to patients whilst in transit.
The service is credited with an immense contribution to the preservation of life by bringing timely, expert and efficient medical aid to those in need. South Staffordshire Plc recognises the importance of the County Air Ambulance service and is a staunch supporter, providing significant financial contributions to the County Air Ambulance Trust. In addition, South Staffordshire Water Plc provides office accommodation, and associated services and facilities to the Trust, helping to maintain its day-to-day activities.
