Tagging of water supplies

Where multiple services are being laid it is critical that the pipes are clearly identified with the plot number. Due to the nature of building sites tags must be well fixed, waterproof and clear.

In order to preserve water quality and prevent debris entering the pipe that could cause a blockage or damage the meter the end of the pipe should be securely sealed or capped. Ideally a cap end fitting should be used or alternatively the end should be well protected with PVC tape.

If our contractor attends site to connect multiple connections that are not clearly marked they are instructed to inform the Developer’s Site Manager immediately. If the confirmation of which pipes supply which plots is not provided the job may be aborted. An abortive cost may then be re-charged to the developer.
