Help & Advice

How does a water butt help save money?

The average roof collects about 85,000 litres of rainwater in a year, which is enough to fill 450 water butts with free water.

A water butt can help you stockpile rainwater for summertime gardening. As well as helping you to save money on your bill, rainwater is also better for plants than tap water.

Our preferred supplier,, offers reduced prices for water butts. They can also be purchased cheaply from outlets such as DIY stores and garden centres.
