Educating the next generation

Our education team has been visiting schools across Staffordshire and the West Midlands to deliver free water-efficiency workshops and assemblies, and has now seen almost 5,000 pupils since April 2019.

The workshops are fun and engaging 'hands-on' sessions, with links to various areas of the National Curriculum, including Science, Literacy and Geography and are designed for Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

“We believe in making education count and know how important it is to educate the next generation about where water comes from, how and why it’s treated and why it’s important to save water.

The kids enjoy the sessions and learn important facts for the future."

- Phil Newland, Managing Director at South Staffs Water.

“The workshop was so cleverly thought out and an excellent way to spread the message about saving water.

This is also a great opportunity for the children to educate their parents."

- Staff from Holy Rosary Catholic Voluntary Academy in Burton on Trent.
