Jack Carnell, Managing Director of South Staffs Water, has decided to take early retirement with effect from 31 October 2010.

The Board would like to thank Jack Carnell for his significant contribution to the success of South Staffs Water over the past 37 years, including the last seven as Managing Director, and to wish him well in his retirement.

The Board has appointed Liz Swarbrick (currently Asset Management Director) as Interim Managing Director with effect from 1 November 2010. Liz and the rest of the Executive Team have the full confidence of the Board to manage the Company and take it forward.
