Lichfield's Christmas charity tractor run is back for 2026

Posted: 27 October 2026

Dozens of festive tractors are set to sparkle through the streets of Lichfield this December in a special Christmas tractor run, bringing seasonal cheer to the local community.

South Staffs Water is proud to return as an organiser and sponsor of the annual Lichfield Christmas charity tractor run, alongside event hosts Rymans Christmas Trees and Lichfield Young Farmers Club.

The parade of tractors, adorned with tinsel and lights, will set off from Ryman’s Christmas Trees at 5pm on Sunday 20 December, covering 15 miles around Lichfield before returning to the starting point. Along the route, the festive fleet will pass local spots such as The Bowling Green roundabout and Lichfield City train station.

Last year, the event raised over £15,000 for St. Giles Hospice, Kids Village and Lichfield Young Farmers. This year all proceeds will be shared between Midlands Air Ambulance, Pathway Project and Lichfield Young Farmers.

Nina Yiannoukos-Benton, Catchment Projects Manager at South Staffs Water, said:  “We're delighted to return as a sponsor and joint organiser of the Christmas Tractor Run this year.

“This event is a key date in the Catchment Team’s calendar and one we look forward to every year. It’s wonderful to be part of something that brings so many people together and adds a touch of seasonal magic to the city, all while supporting an incredible cause.

“We work closely with farms across our catchments to help protect raw water quality and ensure the continued supply of high-quality drinking water. Supporting an event that celebrates and brings together the local farming community makes our involvement especially meaningful.”

Stuart and Helen Ryman of Rymans Christmas Trees commented: “We’re incredibly excited to be hosting the Lichfield Tractor Run alongside South Staffs Water and Lichfield Young Farmers.

“As a family-run arable farm, we take great pride in welcoming families to our farm and sharing the traditions that make this time of year so special.

“The event brings together the agricultural community and the wider public to celebrate British agriculture while raising vital funds and awareness for some fantastic charities. We’re proud to be involved and look forward to welcoming everyone for a memorable evening.”

Liv Thomas, Chairlady of Lichfield Young Farmers, added: “We’re looking forward to seeing the streets of Lichfield light up once again as the Christmas Tractor Run returns. It’s a fantastic event that brings people together, spreads festive cheer and supports some incredibly important causes. As Lichfield Young Farmers, we’re proud to be involved in celebrating our local farming community while helping to raise awareness and support for local charities. We hope the Tractor Run brings plenty of Christmas magic to the city once again.”

Tractor registrations for the event are now open. Participation costs £25 or £30 with a passenger and bookings must be completed online. To find out more information about the event and its route, visit the Facebook page: Lichfield Charity Christmas Tractor Run 2026 | Facebook.
