Our strategies and plans

Our resilience action plan

Our commitment to delivering resilient services

We are committed to being resilient in all aspects of the services we deliver to you. ‘Resilience’ is about our ability to recover quickly from difficulties.

So that we can be sure we’re doing this effectively, we need to have:

  • financial resilience, which is about our ability to avoid, cope with and recover from any disruption to our finances now and over the long term;

  • corporate resilience, which is the ability of our governance, accountability and assurance processes to avoid, cope with and recover from disruption of all types to our business operations; and

  • operational resilience, which is the ability of our infrastructure – and the skills needed to operate that infrastructure – to avoid, cope with and recover from any disruption to our performance.

Following these practices allows us to continue to provide you with the secure, reliable and high-quality water supplies you expect and pay for. It also means making sure we take these things into account in all our decision making.

This covers everything we do – from the decisions our Board makes about how our business is run, to the decisions our field-based teams take to fix a leaking pipe first time, so that it doesn’t impact on the services we deliver to you.

Our resilience action plan sets out our approach for how we will make sure we can always provide you with resilient and reliable water supplies.
