From 10 January, we will be working across three weekends to replace the water mains on Kelvin Way, at the junction of Ault Street. There may be a requirement to work at night to complete this part of the work. We will do our best to keep disruptions to a minimum.

Changes to traffic

To complete the work as safely and efficiently as possible, we will be closing Dawes Lane from 5 January to 8 February. A suitable diversion route will be in place via Kelvin Way and Johnston Street.

On Spon Lane South, multi-signals will be in place for the duration of the works. At times, we will need to restrict right-hand and left-hand turns into the side roads off Spon Lane South, at the junctions listed above. There will be signs on site to help you navigate this.

On Kelvin Way, there will be close access to Ault Street, and two-way traffic lights will be set up. To access Ault Street, please use the signed diversion route in place via Kendrick Way, Spon Lane South and Grice Street.

Access to frontages will be maintained throughout the duration of the works.
