School uniform swap to help parents

We are holding a school uniform swap in our Community Hub in Union Street, Wednesbury, each Friday in August.

The rising costs of school uniform can leave many families struggling, particularly at the time of year before the new academic year is due to start and when many children are starting a new school. South Staffs Water has been collecting donations of used school uniform and is offering them each Friday for any parents.

Donations include uniform for many schools in the Sandwell area, both with school logos and plain, plus shoes and gym pumps.

Phil Newland, managing director of South Staffs Water, said:

Our community hub is a place where our customers can find a unique source of help, support and advice. The uniform swap is just one of the ways that we are able to give that extra bit of help to our customers. I’d encourage all parents to get involved, whether it’s to donate a uniform or to come and see what we’ve got on offer.”
