South Staffs Water announces this year’s Lichfield Christmas charity tractor run

Posted: 04 December 2025

A fleet of festive tractors will sparkle through the streets of Lichfield on Saturday 20 December for a special Christmas tractor run.

South Staffs Water is proud to be an organiser and sponsor of the annual fundraising event, alongside Lichfield Young Farmers Club and the hosts Rymans Christmas Trees and . Last year, the event raised nearly £12,000 for St. Giles Hospice, 4Louis and Lichfield Young Farmers, and this year all proceedings will be shared between St Giles Hospice and Kids Village and Lichfield Young Farmers.

The parade of tractors, adorned with tinsel and lights, will set off from Ryman’s Christmas Trees at 5pm, covering 15 miles around Lichfield before returning to the starting point. Along the route, the fleet will pass local spots such as Beacon Park and Lichfield Cathedral, bringing a touch of seasonal magic to the city.

Erin Green, Catchment Scientist at South Staffs Water, said “We're so happy to be a part of the Tractor Run again this year hosted alongside Lichfield Young Farmers Club. The event brings so much joy to the community and gives us the opportunity to support some wonderful charities. It was amazing to see how many people came together for the event last year and I'm looking forward to this year even more!

“We work closely with farms in our catchments to preserve the quality of raw water in the environment and to continue to provide high quality drinking water, so it's great to be able to hold an event that supports and works with the local farming community.”

Alfie Lee, Club Treasurer at Lichfield Young Farmers, added "Everyone at Lichfield Young Farmers is really pleased to be working alongside South Staffs Water and Rymans Christmas Trees to deliver our Charity Christmas Tractor Run to Lichfield for the second year.

“Last year we saw thousands of people line the streets to not only spread festive cheer but also support our charities - raising nearly £12,000 in one night!

“This year were back even bigger and better than before with more tractors, more lights and more festive cheer for Lichfield's residents and local businesses while supporting St. Giles, Kids Village and Lichfield Young Farmers"

Tractor registrations for the event are still open. Participation costs £20 for drivers plus £10 for passengers, and bookings must be completed online at: Lichfield YFC & SSW Charity Christmas Tractor Run 2025 - Tractor Participants Sign Up
