Work is due to start on an essential project to replace water mains in Walsall

The project is part of our ongoing improvement programme resulting in improved water quality and a reliable water supply to customers.

Where:
We will be replacing about 750 metres of water main along Broadway North in Walsall, including Littleton Street West, Lichfield Street,  Ward Street. Arboretum Road, Charlotte Street, and the footpath into the Arboretum.

When:
The work will start on Monday 1 June 2020 until mid August, so that the work can be carried out during the school holidays.

Will traffic be affected?
In order to carry out the works as safely and efficiently as possible in the narrow roads, there will be diversions in place. Access will be maintained to frontages at all times.

We are committed to investing in new water mains, to reduce leakage by at least 15% and to ensure our customers continue to receive a reliable and high-quality water supply.
