Running the cold tap in your…
We are conscious of the significant impact the burst has caused to the local community, so we have taken the decision to replace the 300-metre length of main in Park Lane West, instead of repairing the section which has burst. We believe that this is the only way we can provide reassurance to residents that no further incidents will occur. This work has now started and will take about six to eight weeks to complete.
Park Lane West will remain closed for the duration of the work from Queen's Road to Mayfair Gardens, with access for residents only. Hill Street is closed at the junction of Park Lane West. Access to Tiddlywinks nursery is via Hill Street from Manor Road. Access to Sherwood Avenue and Perico Chicken will be via Manor Road onto Park Lane West.
Diversions remain in place on Sedgley Road West, Dudley Road, Birmingham New Road and Burnt Tree.
Our 'Onsite' customer support vehicle is available daily from 9am until 4pm and will remain on Park Lane West, at the junction of Hill Street, until 26 February.
We're really sorry for the distress this has caused.
