Tamworth B79 - Burst Water Main, Hopwas Hill
We have repaired the burst in Tamworth on the A51, Hopwas Hill and water supply has now returned to all of our customers.
Following a review of the water main across the bridge, we have decided to replace large sections of it to reduce the risk of another burst.
To allow for the completion of these works, we will need to close the bridge for approximately four to six weeks, work is due to complete on or before 28 June 2019. We are working with Staffs Highways to reduce the impact to residents and motorists and do not intend to interrupt the water supply of local residents whilst we carry out these improvements.
We apologise for any inconvenience and ask you for your patience while we carry out the work.

Although the water may not look very nice, it’s not harmful to health. Running the cold water tap in your kitchen for 20 minutes may help to clear it.
