    We are aware of malicious emails, containing viruses and malware, being sent out to individuals and organisations pretending to be from South Staffordshire Plc, using the donotreply@south-staffordshire.com address.
     
    They are sent with the intention that recipients open the attached purchase order request which will infect their systems.
     
    Please be aware that these emails are NOT being sent from South Staffordshire Plc, or any of its subsidiaries. Our name and the south-staffordshire.com domain is illegally being used.
     
    We do though want to assure you that our IT security systems have not been breached.

    We’ve recently repaired a burst main - If you’re in any of the following areas you may notice the water looks cloudy or milky. This is caused by lots of tiny air bubbles that are so small they make the water look white.  Although cloudy water doesn’t look very nice, it’s not harmful to health.     Incident in Cheslyn Hay, Walsall  31/01/16 08;30hrs.

    We are aware that there is a problem in the Cheslyn Hay area, causing loss of water supply this is due to burst main. Our engineers are at site and carrying repairs.   • Maintenance work in Glascote / Polesworth

    We're doing some maintenance work at one of our sites between 10pm and midnight tonight, which means that some of our customers in the Glascote and Polesworth areas may have very short, intermittent interruptions to their water supply during that time.

  • Leak repair - Cumberledge Hill, Cannock Wood

    We’re going to be doing some work later tonight to repair a leak on a water main in the Cannock Wood area.

    This could take up to four hours and we’ll be starting work at around half past mid-night.  Please be assured that we’ll complete the work as quickly as we can and it’s likely that we’ll do the repair in a much shorter time than that.  We’re doing this work tonight so that the effect of the disruption to our customers’ water supplies is kept to a minimum.  To help keep the noise down, we’ve already done some digging in readiness for the repair to be completed.

    During this time, you may find you have no water or lower pressure than normal and sometimes after this type of work you may notice the water is a different colour to what you’d usually expect.  Please don’t worry, this is perfectly normal.  Although the water may not look very nice, it’s not harmful to health.  Running the cold water tap in your kitchen for 20 minutes may help to clear it. If it doesn't, please try a few times.  It can take up to 48 hours for discoloured water to clear.

    Further to a burst water main on Coyne Close, Tipton, reported this morning (6 November 2015), we can confirm that the main has been isolated and supplies are being restored.
    Some customers in Coyne Close may still be without water whilst we repair the main.
