Our strategies and plans

We're planning for the future to ensure we can continue to provide high-quality, reliable services to all our customers.

In compiling all our plans we have consulted with customer and key stakeholders and their views have helped shape our proposals.

Our long term strategy
In 2007 South Staffs Water produced its long term strategy for the next 25 years up to 2035. Our long term aim is to consistently deliver high quality water at great value with excellent service to our customers, communities, employees and wider stakeholders.

Our business plan
Every five years water companies submit a business plan to the regulator, Ofwat, which sets out what they hope to achieve in the following five years, and how all the costs involved are to be paid for. Ofwat then decides what customers pay for each of the five years.

In April 2013 we merged with Cambridge Water and on 2 December 2013 we published a single business plan for the period 2015-20, which covers both regions.

We aim to achieve this in a way that is the most affordable and takes into consideration any environmental pressures on our resources over the period 2015 to 2040.
